Due to CAK blog policies in relation to blogger.com, I have moved the blog for this class to Gaggle. I apologize for the inconvenience of moving to a new site, but continuing with blogger was going to become even more inconvenient. Click on the link below to get to the new site and then save the new site in your favorites for easy access. Do notice that the new site includes all my classes, so make sure you look at the posts for your class so you don't accidentally do the work for 12 AP! :)

Today in English, we will--
- find out about this class
- hand out literature books
- fill out an information card giving me your first and last name, the name you usually go by, a phone number where I can reach a parent or guardian (and the name of the parent or guardian I will reach if I call that number)
- write two things about yourself: Three sentences that you think someone else would use to describe you to someone else in a conversation and three sentences that you would use to describe yourself to someone else who had never met you. Be prepared for me to read these aloud.
- Homework for Friday: Have your summer reading signed list and reports for Friday. Also have your notebook with dividers (properly labeled) and notebook paper for Friday.

Welcome to the class blog
This is the blog for English 11 Advanced. Students will see it up on the screen during class most days, but they can also see it from anywhere they have internet access. It is for students in the class and their parents so that they can
- check to make sure they know what the assignment is
- see what we did on a day the student was absent
- check the vocabulary list for the week
